Darien Lake Amusement Park is an amusement park that is located in the United States. It is specifically located in between Buffalo and Rochester, New York.

The amusement park's ownership has changed over the years. It started out as just a simple park that was owned by an individual during the 1950s. During the 1980s, 50 percent of the park was owned by the company Funtime Parks. Ownership was then transferred to Six Flags from 1999 to 2007. And it is now being currently owned by CNL Lifestyle Properties. But for its daily operations, it has been handled by PARC Management from 2007 through 2010.

It also changed its name over the years. During the time of its original owner it was known as Darien Lake Fun Country. In the late 1990s when it was purchased by Six Flags it became known as Six Flags Darien Lake. But however many times its name has been changed over the years, the park is just commonly known as Darien Lake Amusement Park.

The park was founded by Paul Snyder in 1954. It was just a small park with a picnic and campground. The park surrounded the Darien Lake. When the park acquired rides during the 1970s and the 1980s it became known as Darien Lake Fun Country.

It became an amusement park when they added rides like a roller coaster, which they called The Viper. And added rides such as the Pirate, Ranger, and the Corn-Popper. Many more rides would be added over the years.

In 2006, the Six Flags Company had trouble sustaining the parks that it owned. It announced in early 2007 that they were considering selling their parks including the Darien Lake Amusement Park. In April 2007, the park was sold to PARC Management. PARC management signed a 50 year deal wherein CNL Income Properties would purchase the parks from PARC Management but would lease it back to PARC management for operation.

 Aside from the rides, the Darien Lake Amusement Park has other attractions like a hotel, a campground, a performing arts center and even a laser stage. The hotel is called the Lodge on the Lake Hotel and opened in the late 1990s. It has 160 hotel rooms. The Campgrounds is open to the public, there are RV's available for rent and there are tent sites, but guests can also bring their own RV's on the campsite. The Darien Lake Performing Arts center opened in the early 1990s, where concerts are held from time to time. The Laser Stage is a concert in the park where concerts are also held. The concerts are free for the guests.
